Not only do we offer affordable student housing in Lancaster, but we provide a beautiful, intentional community in which to live and study. Our off campus living is an opportunity to surround yourself with different cultures and people. With both single and shared rooms available, your housing needs will be met in a comfortable and cozy environment. Information About Our Affordable Student Housing
Rooms – The International House has space for approximately 30 students. Most are shared rooms. We have a limited number of single rooms available upon request.
Bathrooms – 3-4 people share the bathrooms for off-campus living.
Furnishings –All rooms in our affordable student housing program include beds, dressers, closets, desks, and chairs. [Note: Residents must provide their own pillows, bed linens, towels & wash clothes.]
Utilities – All utilities, including WiFi, are included. Laundry (washers and dryers) is provided on-site and included in the monthly cost.
Meals – Our affordable student housing in Lancaster includes a commercial kitchen for residents to prepare their food. Additionally, there is a designated fridge and pantry space.
Facilities – Soccer field, indoor basketball/pickleball court, and bike storage are located on campus. The International Student Housing is also close to public transportation, walking trails, parks, shops & banks.
Staff – We desire to help you as you transition to life in the U.S. while you are with us at Immerse.
Location Information About Our Off Campus Housing
Our campus is in beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It is one of the USA’s most historical cities with all the excitement international students are looking for including cafes, restaurants, sporting events, museums, and outdoor activities. Students love Lancaster because it is safer than big cities and they can focus on their studies without all the “big city distractions.”
Public transportation - The regional bus system has stops directly in front of our property, for routes entering and leaving Millersville (near the University). For more information, please see this link from the Red Rose Transit Authority.
Proximity to Millersville University - Our affordable student housing in Lancaster is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from the town center of Millersville, PA where Millersville University is located (see map here). From Immerse, the campus can be safely and easily reached by bus, car, bicycle, or walking.
Parking - Immerse offers free parking in the paved parking lot on our campus, right next to the International Student House.

Is Immerse student housing affordable?
We are often asked whether living at Immerse is affordable. Compared to area colleges and universities, or living off-campus in an apartment, the International Student House at Immerse is a great place to live if you want to save money and get to know people from all over the world. We also provide field trips, game nights, and housing during holidays and summers.
What is the exact cost of Staying here?
A shared room for males is $640 a month, as well as a shared room for females. If you want to stay in a single female room with a shared bathroom, that is $695 a month. What happens after I submit my application?
After we receive your application, we will contact you. If accepted, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance noting any steps remaining and you will receive an Invoice for the security deposit equal to one month’s rent. Payment of the security deposit is required to reserve your room.
Are Meals included With Housing?
Our International House has a kitchen and dining room for shared use. Each resident gets a designated space to store their food with dishes, utensils, pots, and pans provided.
If I am also studying English at Immerse, how far from my residence hall are my classes?
Our English classes are a short walk from your residence hall to the academic center where you will study English. Our facilities are on-site (indoor gymnasium, athletic field, dining room, and administrative offices).
